Cardrona Gold Lager

Name:Cardrona Gold Lager (210)
Type:Lager
Producer:Wanaka Beerworks (257)
Region:Otago
Rating:ok+

This beer had a medium orange gold colour, with a light head. There was a light aroma, and smooth malt and crisp hoppy fruit. It was quite well balanced, with malt body and hop crispness.

This is what they say about it: A classic golden all malt lager with a smooth malty biscuit-like sweetness and a mild hop bitter finish. Cardrona Gold is named after the Cardrona Town (just outside of Wanaka) with it's colourful gold mining history. A deliciously quaffable lager that celebrates the pioneering spirit of the folk from the days of Cardrona's Gold.

Note 1 I am not really a beer expert (just an enthusiastic amateur), so please don't take my recommendations as anything more than a rough guide to these beers. I can take no responsibility if you buy a lot, on my recommendation, and then regret it!

Note 2 You may not agree with my evaluation of these beers as a lot of this is quite subjective. I tend to put a lot of emphasis on freshness and intense characteristic flavours and bouquet, so if you disagree you might just have different priorities.
